Making Big Choices soon: 5 Things to Consider

Long gone are the days where you stay somewhere they don’t see your value, ladies. It’s time to take a stand for yourself and your worth. I once walked away from a nearly six-figure job because it no longer served me, my values, or my future. The decision was daunting, but I knew deep down that change was necessary for my growth and where I was headed.

If you find yourself contemplating a similar life-changing decision, here are five important things to consider:

  1. Understanding Your Values
Before making the leap, take time to reflect on your core values. What truly matters to you? Is it flexibility, creativity, family time, or something else? Aligning your job with your values can create a deeper sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in your life.

Self-Care Tip: Engage in self-reflection exercises to define your values. Journaling can be a powerful tool for this – check out my favorite self-care journal and other items to help with self-care here to get started!

  1. Assessing the Impact on Your Well-Being
Consider how your current job impacts your mental health and overall well-being. If work feels like a burden and drains your energy, it’s a crucial sign that change is needed. Look for a path that nurtures and empowers you rather than one that stifles your growth.

Self-Care Tip: Prioritize practices that enhance your mental health, such as meditation or deep breathing exercises. Make it a point to carve out time for these activities – they can truly transform your mindset.

  1. Embracing the Unknown
Walking away from the familiar is intimidating. However, stepping outside your comfort zone can lead to incredible opportunities. For me, leaving did not just mean financial uncertainty; it meant reclaiming my time and discovering new paths that filled my life with purpose.

Self-Care Tip: Embrace the journey by exploring new hobbies or interests that excite you. This exploration can enhance your self-awareness and confidence, making the change feel less daunting. Self care items

  1. Finding Freedom and Flexibility
One of the most beautiful outcomes of my decision was the newfound freedom it offered. I was able to spend precious time with my daughter and create lasting memories. You can never get those years back, so consider what sacrifices you are willing to make for a more fulfilling life.

Self-Care Tip: Use your newfound freedom to indulge in self-care activities you love, whether it’s a spa night at home or a cozy afternoon with a good book. Remember, prioritizing yourself is vital!

  1. Rediscovering Your Worth
If you’re feeling stuck, remember: your worth is not tied to a paycheck. Your skills, creativity, and passion are priceless. Don’t be afraid to pursue what lights you up! Seeking a career that reflects your true self can open doors you never knew existed.

Self-Care Tip: Celebrate your achievements, no matter how small. Create a self-affirmation routine to acknowledge your worth and talents daily. This practice can be incredibly empowering! Andneonr forget to work on you. You deserve to relax

As I embarked on my journey toward self-discovery, I realized that every step away from a place where I felt undervalued led me to genuine joy and fulfillment. Here’s to new beginnings and honoring our true selves!

If you’re in a position to reassess your career, don’t hesitate to take that leap of faith. The life you deserve is waiting for you!
